Instead of manually writing programs for each movement, Optimus learns by watching videos from the internet. Artificial intelligence systems learn how people perform household chores and then replicate these actions in a physical environment. The user does not have to write any code — it is enough to watch a video on YouTube, watch and repeat.

However, for now Optimus is unlikely to appear in every home. The price of the robot reaches approximately 20 thousand dollars, so it will be able to wash the floor or clean up after a cat only in wealthy families. However, Musk noted that in the future robots could be rented rather than bought. And then Optimus will go beyond laboratories and enter ordinary households.
