According to Volkswagen, the company has recorded a new range indicator for its ID.7 Pro S electric car. The model managed to travel 941 km without recharging on the test track in Nardo, Italy. During these runs, the car consumed 9.2 kWh/100 km, which is approximately equivalent to the consumption of one liter of diesel fuel per hundred kilometers.

The tests took place at temperatures from 5 to 15 degrees Celsius. The average speed was 29 km/h – a low figure, but it is comparable to the typical speed of traffic during rush hours in large cities. Owners of electric cars should take into account that such vehicles show better results in urban conditions, while on the highway energy consumption increases with speed, which significantly reduces the range.

The Volkswagen ID.7 Pro S is equipped with an 86 kWh battery and has a very streamlined body with a drag coefficient of 0.23. The car is assembled at a plant in China, like most modern electric cars of various brands, and its price starts from 60 thousand dollars.
