The development is called Windscreen Weather Station. Its essence is that special sensors constantly monitor the microclimate in the cabin, and as soon as temperature changes are registered on the glass that could lead to condensation, the electronics automatically turn on the air conditioner and select the necessary airflow settings, starting the "drying" process. Thanks to this, moisture is removed from the glass long before it begins to negatively affect visibility.

Another "feature" of Windscreen Weather Station is fuel economy, as it reduces the time the air conditioner is used.
The dimensions of such a device are only 5 x 3 cm. It is mounted at the top of the windshield, next to the rearview mirror. In the video accompanying this note, you can clearly see how and how effectively the know-how from the "blue oval" works.

Ford did not report whether it is possible to separately buy Windscreen Weather Station and install it on already produced cars.
