The new development combines wireless charging technology, which operates on the principle of electromagnetic induction, with the capabilities of automatic parking.

A demonstration of this system's operation is presented in a video featuring the Le Fil Rouge concept car, which the Korean manufacturer showcased last spring at the Geneva Motor Show. According to company representatives, the combination of the two technologies will prove to be in demand in a situation where charging stations and parking areas in megacities will be overloaded.

The operating principle of the AVPS system is as follows: the owner of an electric vehicle stops at a parking lot equipped with charging devices and leaves the cabin. Then, via a mobile application, he activates the autopilot, which independently finds a free spot with wireless charging capability. When the batteries are fully charged, the car moves to a regular parking spot and waits there for the owner's return.
