The flagship version of the new hot hatch will receive the S index and will be equipped with a two-liter turbocharged engine producing 421 horsepower. This is 21 hp more than the 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine installed on the Audi RS3 Sportback.
Also, the A-Class lineup will include a standard A45 modification, which uses the same two-liter unit, but with output reduced to 387 hp. This figure exceeds the power of the previous generation model's powertrain by 6 horsepower.
The speed characteristics of the new Mercedes-AMG A45 remain unknown for now.
