If the driver opened the rear door before a trip, and after stopping got out of the car without looking into the cabin, the system will remind him of this with a sound signal, offering to check the rear row of seats.
Nissan specialists came up with this option after one of the company's employees left a pot of food in the car, which went bad and filled the cabin with an unpleasant odor.
The new Rear Door Alert function will first appear on the Pathfinder crossover, and later it will be available on other Nissan models as well.
