Museum visitors can get out of their car at the entrance to the parking lot, and then use a smartphone to command the car to autonomously go to a pre-reserved parking spot. After the tour, the owner simply "calls" their car back.

Bosch specialists equipped the parking lot with an intelligent system that interacts with the autonomous driving functions being actively implemented in modern Mercedes-Benz models.

The creators call their project the first truly operational autonomous parking facility that is ready to accept regular car owners and is not a one-off experiment.
However, at the moment the Automated Valet Parking system is undergoing testing to obtain all necessary permits, so full commissioning of the facility is planned for the beginning of next year.
