Production of the B-Max started in 2012 at Ford's Romanian plant in Craiova, but the model did not meet the manufacturer's expectations in terms of sales. The main reason is weak demand for compact vans, which are increasingly losing ground to crossovers.
It is on vehicles with increased off-road capability that Ford is now betting. On the assembly line of the plant in Romania, the B-Max will be replaced by the budget compact crossover EcoSport.
