To make this seat, artificial spider silk was used, obtained from protein produced by bacteria during fermentation. After that, the raw material is sent to a centrifuge, where it is transformed into the required material.
Thanks to its strength and elasticity, the seat adapts to the contours of the driver's or passenger's body, evenly redistributes weight, and guarantees a high level of comfort. Also, the design of the cushion and backrest is made movable, which allows the head to be held in a stable position even during vibrations and rocking of the car while driving.
The public debut of this unusual seat, called the Kinetic Seat, will take place at the Paris Motor Show. The manufacturers have not yet announced plans to launch the product into mass production.
