According to the developers, the steering wheel sensors are more convenient than the usual buttons on the steering wheel and allow combining many functions that would require dozens of keys. In addition, with the help of gesture control, you can answer a call – just, without taking your hands off the steering wheel, raise your fingers up.

Continental technology, as the manufacturer claims, will find wide application in the near future. Currently, touch buttons on the steering wheel are offered for the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class and the new generation Honda Civic. With them, you can scroll up and down the menu of the multimedia system and the on-board computer.

As for gesture control, today the BMW 7-Series can boast such an innovation, equipped with an infrared camera under the roof for reading hand movements.
