The SQ7 model received a diesel engine with triple supercharging (two turbochargers and an electrically driven supercharger). According to the manufacturer, thanks to this solution, the engine is very torquey and flexible across a wide range of revs. A separate 48-volt system was developed for the operation of the electric supercharger.
The power of the 4-liter turbodiesel is 435 horsepower, which accelerates the impressive crossover to 100 km/h in just 4.8 seconds! The maximum torque reaches 900 Nm and is available in the range from 1000 to 3250 rpm. The transmission is an 8-speed automatic.
In addition to the unique engine, the new Audi SQ7 features a "smart" suspension. In particular, this model has an electromechanical roll suppression system that is coupled with all-wheel steering, air suspension, adaptive dampers, and active anti-roll bars.
In general, as the Germans assure, in this Audi you can both "fly" like in a sports car and drive on a very bad road (probably, they mean ours) – in any case, the driver and passengers will not complain about discomfort.
