Toyota President Akio Toyoda announced that a special division based in Silicon Valley (USA) will be responsible for developing a fundamentally new "artificial intelligence".
The new structure will be called the Toyota Research Institute. It will not only work with its own specialists but also actively involve scientists and promising students from universities in projects.
Recall that last month Toyota demonstrated its autonomous driving system, which is planned to be installed on production cars within the next five years.
