The Lexus press service reported that work on creating the hoverboard is already in its final stage. Testing of the new product will begin in a specialized park being built in Barcelona, Spain.
The Lexus hoverboard operates on the principle of magnetic levitation. Hovering above the surface is achieved through magnets and superconducting materials cooled with liquid nitrogen. The board's design is developed in the style of the brand's cars. According to company representatives, the hoverboard's contours echo the motifs of the signature spindle-shaped radiator grille, and the trim uses materials typical of Lexus luxury models — from modern technological solutions to natural bamboo.
The public showing of the "flying" skateboard is scheduled for August 5.
