New technology (as Apple believes) will allow you to open doors and the trunk lid, start the engine, turn on interior lights, headlights, etc. Additionally, the owner will be able to choose settings for some vehicle systems. This could be anything, for example, seats and rearview mirrors, climate control will be controlled from a smartphone. Whether such a system will become production-ready is not yet known.
Recall that back in the fall of 2014, Apple presented another system that connects a car with an iPhone. It is called Accessory control with geo-fencing, and its functionality allows remote control of door locks and alarm.
We, in turn, note that there is nothing new in Apple's technology. Even here, on the Ukrainian market, you can find at least a couple of car alarms that allow you to control them using any smartphone. Accordingly, through them you can also control various vehicle functions.
