The Japanese company Toyota decided to fill this gap. It has prepared a special hydrogen version of a racing car – FCV (Fuel Cell Vehicle). The first competition in which the car will take part will be held on November 1 at the Shinshiro circuit. The car will compete outside the classification and take part in a test run. The car is expected to cover more than 200 kilometers.

The technical specifications of the car are still kept secret.
It is worth noting that the production version of the FCV will appear in Japan in April 2015, and in Europe and the US by summer. The only characteristics known so far are: acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h (10 seconds) and range from refueling to refueling (500 kilometers).

The cars will be sold only in regions where hydrogen refueling networks are being developed.
