The technology itself was developed back in 2012, but the patent was approved only recently.
The technology does not make it possible to control the car while driving. Its task is somewhat different. It is needed for remote control of doors, ignition, and alarm. Additionally, you can track the car's location.

Your smartphone can help you find your car in a huge parking lot, determine which side the driver approached from, and open the desired door or, if necessary, the trunk.

In case of car theft, the phone will determine the car's location in real time.
Communication with the car will be via Bluetooth.
