Specialists of the Chinese company Qihoo 360, which develops antivirus software, claim that they managed to remotely control door locks and switch car headlights while driving. The Chinese experts sent the results of their research to the automaker in the form of an official notification.
Earlier, a competition for hacking Tesla cars was announced. At the forum dedicated to information security, SyScan +360, participants were to establish a connection between the internal systems of the electric car and an external computer, and then, through the sedan's standard browser, remotely open certain web pages. The winner was promised a reward of $10,000.
It is not yet clear whether Qihoo experts will become the owners of this prize. It is worth noting that earlier AvtoPortal conducted a test drive of the Tesla Model S in Kyiv:
