According to Volkswagen, the use of such a gearbox in cars will significantly reduce CO2 emissions. The company claims that the new transmission will be more reliable than the existing 6- and 7-speed DSG and will be able to handle torque up to 500 Nm.
In simple terms, the Germans claim that the new 10-speed DSG will even suit the extremely fast 400-horsepower VW Golf R 400 concept.
