As stated in the company's official press release, the new generation of the Superb model will also be available in an all-wheel drive version. Currently, Skoda vehicles with all-wheel drive use the second-generation Haldex coupling. In the updated version, the engineers changed the activation algorithm of the clutch: instead of a mechanical pump that created pressure to compress the friction pack, an electric drive is now used. It is worth adding that the same all-wheel drive scheme is used on the restyled Saab 9-3 model.
It is not yet disclosed how much the price of cars with such a transmission will increase.
