The thing is, over its 19 years – the car is from 2002 (chassis number – No. 0718) – the hatchback has covered only 12.8 km. Why it has been sitting idle all this time is not yet reported.

Volkswagen released the GTI 25th Anniversary to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the legendary GTI. The model is based on the fourth-generation Golf. The main differences from the standard hatchback are the factory body kit, larger front brakes with red brake calipers, BBS RC wheels (18x7.5), two-tone Sparco racing seats and seat belts, aluminum interior details, sport suspension, and more. Also, all hatchbacks in this series were painted in Reflex silver.

Under the hood of the Volkswagen Golf GTI 25th Anniversary is a 1.8-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 180 hp and 235 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission.

It is unknown for how much the car will be sold, even approximately, but it will clearly not be cheap. Three years ago, a similar Golf GTI 25th Anniversary, but with higher mileage, went under the hammer for £11,812 ($16,351 at the current exchange rate).
