You can recognize the new Kia Ceed 2022, first of all, by the modified radiator grille and bumper with enlarged air intakes. In addition, the headlights have been refreshed and new taillights have been installed.
In the cabin, the changes are not so noticeable – only the new gear lever and the enlarged 10.25-inch touchscreen of the multimedia system catch the eye. It, by the way, has been supplemented with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The initial 1.0-liter turbo engines with 100 and 120 hp have been supplemented with a 48-volt hybrid system. In addition, gasoline turbo-fours with a volume of 1.5 liters (160 hp) and 1.6 liters (204 hp) are offered, as well as a 1.6-liter 136-horsepower turbodiesel.
A newcomer is the Kia Ceed plug-in hybrid, and it is offered only in the station wagon body. The power plant is familiar from the Kia Niro: a 1.6-liter gasoline engine and an electric motor together develop 141 hp, and an 8.9-kilowatt battery allows you to travel 58 km on electric power.
