Serial production of the car is planned to start in the second half of 2015. This car was created to demonstrate Geely's capabilities in hybrid technologies and environmental friendliness.

The concept car has a length of 4430 mm and a wheelbase of 2670 mm. The hybrid powertrain consists of a gasoline engine with 90 hp and a 55 hp electric motor. The battery pack delivers 10 kilowatt-hours. The car reaches 100 km/h in ten seconds, and the top speed is 190 km/h.

The Emgrand Cross Concept PHEV can move on electric power alone, with a range of 50 km. In combined driving, a fully fueled car can travel 650 km. CO2 emissions will not exceed 46 g/km.

Volvo and Geely are currently engaged in development and research in various areas of technology, but it seems that the Emgrand Cross Concept PHEV is so far the first and only product born from joint efforts. Nothing is known yet about any other developments planned for production.
