The BYD Tang uses a DMII hybrid powertrain consisting of a 2.0-liter gasoline engine with 205 hp (320 Nm) and a 149-hp electric motor (200 Nm). In total, this setup can deliver up to 354 hp, and torque increases to an impressive 420 Nm.
The Chinese comrades were so inspired by the hybrid's performance that they applied logos directly on the fenders, encoding the number of seconds it takes to reach 100 km/h (first digit), the number of driven wheels (second digit), and average fuel consumption (third digit). That is – 542. For now, we can only take their word for it.

As for the exterior, everything looks very familiar. In the styling, you can see features of its predecessor S6 and the Lexus RX.

Sales of the BYD Tang in the Chinese market are scheduled to start in the second half of 2014. The announced price is $40,000. We don't yet know when it will appear in Ukraine, but as soon as we have information, we will inform you immediately.
