During a joint examination by authoritative safety experts from the China Automotive Technology and Research Center and leading Chinese media, excellent test results were obtained. FAW Besturn X40 became the first automobile brand in China to set a record for this safety indicator.
As part of the crash test, a helicopter lifts the car off the ground and begins to accelerate. When its speed reaches 120 km/h, it releases the grip and drops the car from the air onto the ground. Due to the enormous falling speed, the car, hitting the ground, continuously rolls over several times. After the test, the vehicle's condition was inspected and relevant data were collected.

The car showed excellent results in all test points and proved the title of "Safe Car":
- In terms of structural integrity – the car body remained intact, and the car doors still open easily without external force.
- After the injection test, it was found that the fuel tank does not leak.
- Under the protection of the restraint system, the normal posture of the test dummy of the driver and front passenger was preserved.
The drop and rollover test is a reproduction of a real form of road accident. According to CIDAS statistics, falling of vehicles from bridges, cliffs, or elevations is a typical form of accident. The proportion of fatalities or serious injuries caused by vehicles falling from heights is significantly higher than in other accidents. This air drop and rollover test exactly simulates this typical accident scenario, so the test is the closest to reality. The obtained results can clearly demonstrate the reliable protection of passengers in this type of road accident.

The high level of safety of FAW cars is achieved through reinforced "3H" bodies, which use ultra-high-strength steel. The multi-channel energy transfer design can instantly distribute the huge kinetic energy from the impact throughout the entire body, avoiding local deformation and thereby ensuring passenger safety. Additionally, the front and rear doors, as well as the front and rear bumpers, are reinforced with high-strength anti-impact beams. This ensures effective protection for passengers in both frontal and side collisions.

In another C-NCAP crash test, the Besturn X40 also received the maximum five-star safety rating.
Safety is one of the main components in the design of the FAW Besturn model line. The first large-scale drop and rollover test in China breaks conventional stereotypes and demonstrates the highest level of safety of FAW cars.
In Ukraine, FAW is represented by an exclusive distributor – AIS Group of Companies. Sales of FAW passenger, commercial, and cargo vehicles in our country will begin this autumn.
