About 1000 young parent clients of the network, educators, police and medical workers from Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Ivano-Frankivsk, Khmelnytskyi, and Kryvyi Rih took part in the events. In 2018, similar trainings are planned to be held in 5 more regions of Ukraine.
During the trainings, participants were able to gain a lot of useful knowledge and skills. For example, what features should be considered when choosing a car seat, how to securely and correctly fasten it, how best to teach children to follow traffic rules, provide first emergency aid to children of different ages in case of an accident, and so on.
According to the experienced instructors of the Traffic Challenge program, when traveling with children, it is especially important to be responsible about traffic rules and be as attentive as possible even in small details. A properly selected child car seat, a securely fastened seat belt, and reflective elements worn in time – such measures will help avoid emergency situations, and in case of an accident, they will protect and save.

“Since the accident rate on Ukrainian roads remains one of the highest in Europe, the OKKO filling station network never tires of calling on all road users to take care of their own safety and respect each other,” says Anna Tikhovska, sustainability manager of the OKKO network. – Now we appeal to parents, teachers, and everyone who works with children. And within the framework of the project “I beg you, buckle up!” we want to help them prevent all those dangers that can happen on the road.”
