CEE EXPO (Consumer Electronics & Entertainment) has been held annually since 2006 and has already become a landmark event in Ukraine in the field of electronics. This year, CEE 2017 will bring together more than 150 leaders of the global industry from various sectors. Among them is Dealer of the Year 2015 - Renault AIS Avtokray - a RENAULT dealership in Kyiv, which will present new products to the public - RENAULT KADJAR and RENAULT MEGANE Sedan.
Renault Kadjar is a C-SUV class crossover with front or all-wheel drive. The world premiere of the model took place at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2015.
Kadjar is a rather loose compilation of two French words: Quad, which can be translated as four-wheeled, and Jaillir, meaning hunter. Thus, Renault seems to hint that behind the wheel of their new crossover, you can quite go on an adventure! And they draw attention to the presence of an all-wheel drive system with the ability to switch modes up to a hard clutch lock. And if you also take into account the 190 mm of ground clearance, as well as approach and departure angles of 18 and 25 degrees respectively, then off-road for the Renault Kadjar will indeed be within its capabilities.
All-wheel drive versions of the French crossover have a multi-link rear suspension, while front-wheel drive versions have a semi-independent one. The front suspension in both versions is McPherson struts. The car is equipped with the R-Link 2 multimedia system with voice recognition, LED optics, automatic braking system, rear-view camera, road sign recognition and lane keeping systems, an auto-parking assistant, and a panoramic roof with an area of almost 1.5 square meters.
The engine range of the Renault Kadjar consists of four units. There are two petrol engines, both turbocharged - a 1.2-liter with 115 hp and a 1.6-liter with 150 horsepower. The smallest in displacement is a 4-cylinder DIG-T unit with an aluminum cylinder block and direct fuel injection, equipped with a pair of overhead camshafts with chain drive and a variable valve timing system on the intake. There are also two diesel engines - 1.5-liter and 1.6-liter, producing 110 and 130 hp respectively. They feature a two-loop exhaust gas recirculation system that speeds up the warm-up process, and multi-injection direct fuel injection. The engines work in conjunction with either a 6-speed manual gearbox or a robotic one.
Renault Megane Sedan is a front-wheel drive C-class sedan. The debut of the third generation of the model took place at the Paris Motor Show in 2016. The Megane Sedan replaced the Renault Fluence model.
Speaking of the body, the sedan turned out to be larger than the hatchback not only in length (4.63 vs 4.36 m) but also in wheelbase (2.71 vs 2.67). Although the platform used for them is common - modular CMF C/D.
The stylistic differences of the Megane begin behind the B-pillar: a more sloping roofline and a rear pillar that smoothly transitions into the trunk lid. It is so small that at first glance, the Megane sedan could even be mistaken for a liftback. It is worth noting that the signature feature of the new generation model has been preserved - long curved rear lights. The interior design, as expected, is identical to that of the hatchback, but in terms of free space on the rear sofa, the sedan comes out ahead. The trunk is also considerable: 503 liters of volume and a meter of depth. As an option, its lid can be opened with a foot gesture under the rear bumper.
Also, the equipment list of the Renault Megane sedan may include the Multi-Sense system (adjusting the "character" of the car), the R-Link2 multimedia system with a 7-inch display, heated steering wheel, electric parking brake, leather interior, and a panoramic roof with a sliding sunroof.
The power units are offered as follows. There are two petrol engines: a 1.2 turbo with 130 hp and 205 Newton-meters, and a 1.6 naturally aspirated with 115 hp and 156 Newton-meters. For now, there is only one diesel, but what a one - the well-known 1.5-liter with 110 hp and a torque of 260 Newton-meters (with a manual gearbox). With the automatic and EDC dual-clutch, the torque will be slightly less, 250 N/m, but in any case, maximum traction is available from 1750 rpm. And fuel consumption in the combined cycle is only 4.4 liters.
