Kyiv, August 17, 2017 — From now on, OKKO customers can pay for fuel right at the pump using their smartphone via the new OKKO Pay service. The gas station network, together with Mastercard, introduced a new payment solution with the integrated Masterpass digital wallet platform in the updated version of the Fishka mobile app. To encourage first users, the partners also prepared a special offer: until August 31, everyone who paid for fuel with OKKO Pay will receive a discount of 3 UAH per liter.

The new service is already available at OKKO gas stations in Kyiv and Lviv. In autumn, the service will become available throughout Ukraine.
“Innovative solutions of the OKKO network are always aimed at creating maximum convenience and new opportunities for customers,” comments Vasyl Dmytryv, Marketing Director of the OKKO gas station network. “Thanks to the new service, drivers no longer need to waste time in line at the cashier, and they don't even have to carry a plastic card if it is already saved in your digital wallet. Moreover, by using the service, you can also get a good discount on fuel – just for liking to handle as many daily tasks as possible with your smartphone.”
To use the service, you need to download and log in to the Fishka mobile app in advance. The app automatically authorizes the user if they are already registered in the Masterpass digital wallet. You can also register in the wallet directly in the app by entering your bank card details once. These can be cards from any Ukrainian bank of various payment systems. Thus, Masterpass users can securely store data of all their bank cards in a digital wallet and pay faster and more conveniently – without the need to enter card details (card number, CVC-2 code, etc.) every time. Mastercard is the guarantor of payment security with Masterpass.
The actions at the gas station are very simple, so the whole process will take no more than a few minutes: you need to insert the nozzle into the fuel tank and go to the OKKO Pay section in the Fishka app. Then, point the program's scanner at the QR code placed on the pump and scan it. After that, enter the required number of liters or the amount you want to refuel, press the “Pay” button, and that's it – fuel dispensing starts automatically.
“Innovative payment solutions from Mastercard are designed to simplify payments where convenience and speed are especially valued, including at gas stations. We are confident that the result of cooperation with OKKO will be another contribution to the development of the technological future of Ukrainians – without queues, cashiers, and cash,” noted Serhiy Frantsyshko, Vice President for Business Development at Mastercard's representative office in Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, and Central Asian countries.
The OKKO Pay project was implemented with technical support from TAS Link and MobiPay. TASCOMBANK became the acquiring bank for payments.
The Masterpass digital wallet platform, which unites millions of users and merchants in 34 countries worldwide, became available in Ukraine a year ago on websites and in mobile apps of over 2000 merchants. The one-click payment solution with Masterpass is integrated into online payment services, the Karton.ua money transfer platform, a universal mobile wallet, a chatbot for money transfers in Facebook Messenger, as well as mobile apps for taxi calling, fuel payment, parking at municipal parking lots in Kyiv, and others.
