Among the presented vehicles, there are two national premieres, and both new products are manufactured in Ukraine.
As of the end of 5 months of 2017, MAZ confidently leads the truck market, with 274 vehicles sold, sales growth of 88% compared to last year, and a market share exceeding 21%. At the same time, MAZ leads in sales in a number of segments of both medium-duty and heavy-duty trucks: truck cranes, municipal vehicles, agricultural and construction dump trucks, vans, and tanks of various types.
At AGRO-2017, MAZ presented an exposition of the following vehicles:
1) National premiere – heavy-duty grain truck MAZ-6501S5 (AS 1422) manufactured by the Pozhmashina plant, Nizhyn. MAZ-6501S5 is a three-axle grain truck with side double-sided unloading, with ABS, traction control system, EBS for trailer, engine heater, and driver's sleeping place. The platform sides are three-section. The platform is tarped, with a manual folding mechanism to the left side and arches for support. The vehicle can carry 16.2 tons of cargo, with a cargo compartment volume of 22 cubic meters. The vehicle can be operated as part of a road train with a trailer. This vehicle is a participant in the program of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine for compensation for the purchase of agricultural machinery of Ukrainian production. The compensation amount under the program terms is 20%.
The procedure for using funds, approved by the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated March 1, 2017 No. 130.
To receive partial compensation for the cost of machinery, an agricultural producer must:
1. Familiarize themselves with the List of machinery and equipment, the cost of which is partially compensated from budget funds, which is formed by the commission of the Ministry of Economic Development and posted on the official website of the Ministry of Economic Development and the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.
2. Decide on the necessary type of machinery or equipment.
3. Make payment for the machinery and equipment to the manufacturer or dealer (specified in the List) through state banks - Oschadbank, Ukreximbank, PrivatBank, Ukrgasbank.
4. Open an account in one of the specified state banks and submit an application and supporting documents for the purchase of machinery and equipment, namely:
- a copy of the payment order;
- an acceptance certificate for the machinery and equipment;
- a certificate of state registration of the machinery (if the machinery is subject to mandatory state registration).
5. The state bank provides the Ministry of Agrarian Policy with information on the amount of funds subject to partial compensation.
6. The Ministry of Agrarian Policy forms a register of agricultural producers who have purchased machinery and equipment and are eligible for partial compensation.
The Ministry of Agrarian Policy, within the scope of open appropriations, based on the register, transfers funds to the state bank, which within one day transfers them to the current accounts of agricultural producers.
2) Another national premiere – an agricultural dump truck based on the MAZ-4381N2 chassis. The vehicle is manufactured at the Avto-Holding plant, Kremenchuk (part of the AIS Group of Companies). MAZ-4381N2 is a two-axle dump truck with a metal body and three-way tipping, tipped using a hydraulic mechanism. The vehicle is designed for transporting various bulk and loose construction and agricultural cargo on various types of road surfaces. The new product has some of the best operational characteristics in the medium-duty vehicle segment: load capacity of 5.3 tons, cargo compartment volume of 11.4 cubic meters, side height of 120 cm.
Also presented at the exhibition were:
3) Heavy-duty grain truck MAZ 6501S9-8526-000 of Belarusian production. The vehicle has similar characteristics to the Ukrainian counterpart, but has a larger load capacity and cubic capacity: 19 tons and 33 cubic meters, respectively.
4) Specialized feed mixer vehicle based on MAZ 5340S2-585-013 manufactured by PJSC Nizhynselmash. The capacity of the four-section bunker of the vehicle is 11 cubic meters. Load capacity – 10.5 tons. Feed unloading productivity – 15 tons per hour. Feed unloading is carried out using a screw conveyor.
Any MAZ model can be purchased on credit at a reduced annual interest rate, which is financed by the Government of the Republic of Belarus. Depending on the size of the down payment and the loan term, the annual rate in hryvnia will range from 10% to 11.8%. It is possible to purchase equipment with zero down payment*.
As noted by the Director of the official distributor of the Minsk Automobile Plant in Ukraine – LLC PII Trading House MAZ-Ukraine Andriy Vlasenko: “In the plans for the development of the MAZ brand in Ukraine for 2017:
• Maintaining a leading position in the market through the introduction of new models, increasing the level of localization in Ukraine, and expanding the dealer network.
• Launching production of new models of trucks, primarily vans based on MAZ 4371 Zubrenok - thermal, industrial goods, repair workshops.
The AGRO-2017 exhibition took place in Kyiv from June 7 to 10, 2017, and gathered more than 1,200 participants from 15 countries.
