The AIS group of companies became one of the first major domestic players to establish legal supplies of verified used cars from Europe.
Buyer interest in European used cars was so great that the company decided to develop this niche. Initially, AIS will import only light commercial vans and trucks. According to Sergey Borovik, who is responsible for marketing at AIS, more than 25,000 such vehicles can be imported into the country annually, while sales of new commercial vehicles barely reach 6,000 units. He emphasizes that the segment is promising, and there are practically no professional players capable of providing quality service in it.
The list of models planned for import will include the most in-demand commercial vehicles on the secondary market: VW Caddy, VW Transporter, Renault Kangoo, Renault Trafic, MB Sprinter, MB Vito, and others. The focus is on cars 3-5 years old, with low mileage and in good technical condition.
Cars will be purchased from major official European suppliers. All vehicles have no history of operation on Ukrainian roads.
AIS takes on the entire process: from purchase and delivery to customs clearance, preparation for sale, and subsequent maintenance. Sales will be carried out through the company's dealer network covering all of Ukraine.
Unlike unofficial resellers, AIS clients purchasing a European car receive a number of significant bonuses:
- Arrangement of a loan or lease for the purchase
- The ability to insure the car under CASCO and OSAGO
- Confirmed legal purity, real mileage, and a guarantee of technical serviceability
- Free roadside assistance under the AIS Assistance service
Especially important for legal entities: when buying a used car, they can reclaim VAT on its entire cost.
The company's strategic goal is to occupy up to 10% of the market for imported used commercial vehicles from the EU.
