Given that the season of active bike trips is just starting, the new service will be useful for many cyclists. Thanks to this service at OKKO, it will take only 2 minutes to wash a bike without getting your hands dirty.
The first bike wash at OKKO was opened a year ago in Lviv. Its functionality and convenience were first tested by activists of the Lviv Association of Cyclists. The popularity of the service and active requests from customers in different regions contributed to the company's decision to open bike wash services in other cities of the country.
For this purpose, a special structure has been installed directly at the car wash, which securely fixes the bike during washing. Gas station employees have undergone appropriate training on how to serve the new category of guests. The washing procedure takes only 2 minutes. That is just enough time to order coffee and enjoy an exclusive donut at OKKO – just what you need to recover after a busy ride.
The OKKO network has been supporting the development of cycling in Ukraine for many years. Separate areas for bicycle parking have already been set up near the head office and some gas stations. With the company's support, the network of city bike paths in Lviv has been marked. And as part of its large-scale social project "I beg you, live! Road safety", the OKKO network has been actively communicating with all road users for several years, encouraging them to behave responsibly on the road, including with cyclists.
"Bicycles are both eco-friendly transport and a healthy lifestyle. Many of our employees commute to work by bike, and many of our customers often switch from cars to bicycles. We want them to feel comfortable in any situation and be able to make the most of all the amenities of our gas stations," said Anna Tikhovska, sustainable development manager of the OKKO network.
