The updated UAZ Patriot retains the traditional leadership qualities of an SUV: high ground clearance, body-on-frame construction, rear axle differential lock and full-fledged all-wheel drive. At the same time, new modern equipment and high-quality interior trim materials make it a more comfortable and safe companion on any journey.

Unrivaled geometric off-road capability — ground clearance to the axle housing is 210 mm, approach angle is 35°, departure angle is 30°. The sturdy body-on-frame construction ensures reliability in the most severe off-road conditions. Rigidly engaged all-wheel drive is provided by a reliable Dymos transfer case with a gear ratio of 2.542. These advantages are complemented by an electronically controlled rear axle differential lock.

The design of the updated UAZ Patriot reflects power and confidence, reliability and safety, and most importantly, versatility. A new-style radiator grille with an enlarged UAZ logo and chrome elements, and modern headlights with LED daytime running lights give the vehicle an expressive appearance. Large body-colored side mirrors with LED turn signal repeaters, scratch-resistant fog lights with glass lenses, and an additional LED brake light make the vehicle more visible in traffic. The rear of the vehicle stands out thanks to the spare wheel container with a silver PATRIOT inscription and modern taillights. The new 2017 model year UAZ Patriot is offered in 7 colors to choose from, as well as with 16" steel wheels and 16" and 18" alloy wheels depending on the trim level.

The instrument panel of the updated UAZ Patriot has been completely transformed. The new 3-spoke steering wheel looks stylish and modern thanks to the leather trim and steering wheel control blocks. The new location of the multimedia system touchscreen is dictated by more convenient ergonomics — the screen tilt angle has been changed, and the screen itself is now level with the instrument cluster, which now features chrome bezels and white backlighting. Thanks to the new touchscreen location, the heating and air conditioning control unit is conveniently positioned in the center of the console, with a pocket added below for a phone or smartphone and small items.

The updated UAZ Patriot offers leather seat trim, with the central part of the seats along with the headrests made of perforated natural leather. In addition to the seats, depending on the trim level, leather trim extends to the steering wheel, gear shift lever knob, and the new-design parking brake lever handle.

The UAZ Patriot stands out with its impressive dimensions, which provide an advantage in the amount of usable space in the cabin. The spacious luggage compartment with a volume of 1130 liters (up to the ceiling) can be increased to an impressive 2415 liters with the second-row seats folded down, allowing transportation of large items.

The updated UAZ Patriot now features modern equipment, thanks to which it reaches a new level in passive and active safety. As part of enhancing passive safety, the updated UAZ Patriot received:

Driver and passenger airbags in all trim levels. Front seat belts with pretensioners, force limiters, and new height adjusters. To ensure safety in the second row, the UAZ Patriot still offers rear 3-point seat belts, L-shaped headrests, and the ISOFIX child seat anchoring system.

The updated UAZ Patriot also received structural changes to improve passive safety, including longitudinal reinforcement of the floor frame, additional brackets for attaching the body to the frame, reinforcement of the front pillar, and most importantly, a new-design energy-absorbing collapsible steering column.

For the first time, the UAZ Patriot is equipped with an extended active safety package based on the ESP system (in combination with the ABS anti-lock braking system and EBD electronic brake-force distribution). The Electronic Stability Program (ESP) was implemented on the UAZ Patriot in collaboration with the German company Robert BOSCH. The implementation of the ESP system on the UAZ Patriot took more than 2 years, during which full-scale road tests were conducted in Germany (summer test) and Sweden (winter test).

The Electronic Stability Program helps maintain the vehicle's trajectory in situations with an increased risk of skidding, lateral sliding, or rollover. However, the ESP function can be disabled, for which a special button has appeared on the center console of the updated UAZ Patriot.

Along with the new ESP system, the UAZ Patriot gains a whole range of systems to enhance active safety:

The Traction Control System (TCS) manages engine torque and the braking system to ensure vehicle movement without slipping of the drive wheels.

The Cornering Brake Control (CBC) system distributes braking forces to each wheel when braking in a turn.

The Hydraulic Brake Assist (HBA) activates during emergency braking to achieve more intense braking.

The Hill Hold Control (HHC) system prevents the vehicle from rolling back on an incline, holding it stationary for two seconds.

The Off-Road mode is activated by a separate button on the center console for more effective braking on loose surfaces.

To ensure safe parking, the updated UAZ Patriot uses a rear-view camera and parking sensors. In addition to the rear sensors, front parking sensors are now available. They can be turned on and off separately using a button on the center tunnel.

The rear-view camera automatically starts working when reverse gear is engaged. In the updated Patriot, thanks to a steering wheel angle sensor, the image from the rear-view camera is now supplemented with dynamic guidelines. The color display shows the view from the rear-view camera and a schematic representation of the operation of the 4 rear and 2 outer front (left and right) parking sensors, as well as the distance to the obstacle.

The updated UAZ Patriot received a new instrument panel, the main element of which is the new steering wheel. It is now adjustable not only for tilt but also for reach. For convenience, comfort, and greater safety while driving, controls for new functions have been placed on the steering wheel. The updated UAZ Patriot now offers cruise control and a speed limiter, which are controlled by a button block on the left side of the steering wheel. On the right side are controls for the multimedia system and hands-free calling for safe phone communication while driving.

The updated UAZ Patriot is equipped with new modern-design steering column switches with expanded functionality, which include a triple lane-change signal, on-board computer control, and adjustment of the wiper pause. The update also affected the light control module, in which the algorithm for turning on fog lights and rear lights has become more convenient.

To radically improve acoustic comfort, the updated UAZ Patriot underwent measures to improve noise and vibration insulation. The following materials were added and improved:

Noise insulation lining and vibration insulation of the front bulkhead.

Noise insulation lining of the floor and luggage compartment.

Vibration insulation of the roof and side doors.

Second contour of door seals.

A major modernization of the updated UAZ Patriot affected the fuel system. Now the UAZ Patriot is equipped with a single plastic fuel tank with a plastic filler neck.

The UAZ Patriot is seriously prepared for the cold season, offering not only heated front seats, rear window, and side mirrors, but also a programmable pre-heater, heating of the entire windshield area, and heated rear seats, which is a competitive advantage in the SUV segment. With the update of the UAZ Patriot, heated leather-wrapped steering wheel is added to this list.

As part of the update, the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning control system was completely redesigned. And now the UAZ Patriot offers a function such as single-zone climate control with a new control unit on the center console and the ability to select the desired temperature. For second-row passengers, a second interior heater with a separate fan and adjustable airflow deflectors is installed.

In the center of the new panel of the updated UAZ Patriot is a modern and technologically advanced multimedia system with a 7-inch color touchscreen display with Full HD video playback capability, AM/FM/MP3 support, USB/AUX ports, 6 speakers, compass, and Navitel navigation system.

The multimedia system display provides excellent readability and a wide viewing angle, allowing the front passenger to also monitor the readings.

The price of the New UAZ Patriot starts from 511,900 UAH.*
