This is ten horsepower more than was announced in March during the public premiere of the sports car at the New York Auto Show. The final characteristics of the ZL1 engine were declassified in the official brochure of the two-door, published on the Camaro6 portal.
The Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 is equipped with a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 producing 650 horsepower and 880 Nm of torque. This is 70 horsepower and 126 Nm more than the output of the previous generation track sports car's engine.

The engine is paired with a six-speed manual transmission or a ten-speed automatic developed jointly by GM and Ford.
The sports car's dynamic characteristics are still not reported. The predecessor can accelerate from zero to 96 kilometers per hour in 3.9 seconds, and its top speed is 296 kilometers per hour.
It is expected that in the US, prices for the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 will start from 60 thousand dollars.
