In standard driving mode, the Chiron model is capable of reaching speeds of up to 385 kilometers per hour, and when the special Top Speed mode is activated, up to 420 km/h. However, according to the company, this is not yet the maximum potential. If all restrictions are removed, the car could approach nearly 500 kilometers per hour.
For the safety and health of its "precious" customers, Bugatti has decided to limit the top speed. But if hypercar owners want to test both themselves and the machinery at extreme speeds, the manufacturer is ready to assist.
As stated by the brand's management, before such runs, both the track and the car must be inspected by specialists. Therefore, Bugatti will likely offer its experts and the test track in Ehra-Lessien for these purposes, where customers can master high-speed driving skills.
Recall that the Bugatti Chiron is equipped with a W16 engine producing 1500 horsepower, which accelerates to 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds. But even more impressive is the acceleration to 300 kilometers per hour — just 13.6 seconds.
