As reported by the head of the customs institute for vehicle legalization, Andriy Pervoaprilsky, Ukrainian drivers will be allowed to drive cars without customs clearance and without any accompanying documents.
If the car owner decides to register the car in their name in order to be able to gift it or leave it as an inheritance in the future, then customs duties will need to be paid. But if the goal is simply to drive such a vehicle, then the customs clearance procedure is not needed, regardless of the make, model, or year of manufacture.
Regarding cars without customs clearance, it is worth mentioning that in western Ukraine, almost half of the residents have been actively using them for several years.
