It is quite likely that the jump in diesel prices was influenced by the Verkhovna Rada's adoption of the new law "On Preventing Financial Catastrophe and Creating Prerequisites for Economic Growth in Ukraine," according to which the excise tax on heavy fuel will be doubled. Probably, oil traders have already started raising diesel prices as a preventive measure.

Most notably, the gas stations of the "Privat" group: "Alpha-Nafta" and "Ukrnafta" distinguished themselves, not only raising diesel fuel prices by 40 kopecks but also increasing the price of A-95 gasoline by 30 kopecks. Despite such a one-time jump, fuel prices at these companies remain among the most attractive.

The highest fuel prices are at Shell, amounting to 13.18 UAH per liter of A-92, 13.77 UAH per A-95, and 12.49 UAH per liter of diesel fuel.
