According to the Consulting Group A-95, yesterday, February 25, wholesale prices for petroleum products increased significantly and are: 13,960 UAH/t for A-92 gasoline (it rose by 400 UAH per ton); 14,250 UAH/t for A-95 (an increase of 580 UAH); 11,770 UAH/t for diesel fuel (more expensive by 470 UAH). The sharp rise in prices is due to the increase in the dollar exchange rate on the interbank market, which was sold yesterday at almost 10 UAH per unit.

The rise in fuel prices is significantly influenced by the small number of offers from oil traders, many of whom are waiting for the hryvnia to stabilize. In addition, the products of the largest player in the fuel market, the company VETEK in Kherson and Odessa, have been seized.

The situation on the wholesale market immediately affected retail, where prices for popular fuel grades exceeded 12 UAH per liter. So, on February 25, at OKKO and WOG gas stations, the price of 95 gasoline was recorded above 12 hryvnias. According to experts' forecasts, fuel prices will continue to rise until the dollar exchange rate stabilizes.
