The management of AvtoVAZ decided to expand the sports lineup in response to the success of the Granta Sport version, whose sales reached about a thousand cars. Based on this, the Lada Sport direction will be supplemented with "hot" modifications of a more compact model — the Lada Kalina.
The Granta with a 120-horsepower boosted 1.6-liter engine accelerates to 100 km/h in 9.5 seconds. There is no data yet on the dynamics of the future Kalina, but two variants with the same 1.6-liter engine boosted to 120 and 135 horsepower are prepared for production.
It is worth noting that the previous "hot" version of the Kalina before the restyling had a 98 hp engine.
