It is not easy for a European motorist to accept such a point of view, but the Chinese, of course, know better. Much more curious for us is the fact that under this rather extravagant exterior hides a crossover that, in its dimensions, is very reminiscent of the Romanian Duster.
The length of the Haima S5 is 4,285 mm, the width is 1,818 mm, the height is 1,653 mm, and the wheelbase reaches 2,642 mm. And the similarities do not end there. The lineup includes two petrol engines: a naturally aspirated 1.6-liter unit, whose characteristics remain a mystery for now, and a turbocharged 1.5-liter with an output of 150 hp.
In addition, the appearance of a 1.8-liter turbo engine developing 180 hp has been announced. As for the transmission, the buyer will be offered either a 5-speed manual or a CVT. Sales of the Haima S5 on the Chinese market will begin in the spring of this year.
