Unlike Ukraine, in January 2015 new car sales in America grew significantly. Moreover, if in previous years Americans were looking at something relatively economical, now they rushed to buy 'gas guzzlers'.

In particular, Americans again began to actively buy full-size SUVs and pickups. Analysts attribute this to a significant drop in fuel prices. According to The Wall Street Journal, new car sales in the US grew by almost 14%.
