All development is carried out within the framework of a special initiative "Project i", for which a separate direction has been allocated. The Bavarians are already actively testing one of these prototypes. The three-wheeled vehicle called "Clever" was created in partnership with engineers from the University of Bath. Under German law, the vehicle is classified as a trike, but there is no need to wear a helmet. The two-seater trike will be able to accelerate to about 100 km/h. The main energy source will be natural gas, but a hybrid component is also provided, which will allow movement on electricity as well.

According to one of the leaders of "Project i", the key goal of this undertaking is to find the optimal combination of efficiency, dynamic characteristics, cost, and convenience in everyday use. Currently, several concepts are already undergoing road tests, and the first production versions will appear within the next five years.
