It seems the Nissan Skyline fell victim to the success of the movie "Fast & Furious 4". The spring film grossed decently and pleased genre fans with solid scenes. Unsurprisingly, fans are ready to do a lot just to get closer to their favorite characters.
The Nissan Skyline, driven by Paul Walker in the film, disappeared from a garage in Los Angeles. There were many other expensive cars in the same facility, but the criminals didn't even glance at them. Therefore, there is every reason to believe that the thieves were driven by a passion for "Fast & Furious".
After filming concluded, the Skyline underwent a thorough restoration. The car was mainly used for advertising events and promotional campaigns. The price of the "star" Skyline was 75,000 dollars. However, it is unclear whether the thieves intended to sell the car or stashed it away to admire in secret.
