Range Rover has unveiled the electric Range Rover Sport Electric. The new model features two electric motors, all-wheel drive and a 118.5 kWh battery, and is almost indistinguishable from the ICE versions on the outside. Deliveries in certain markets will begin in the first quarter of 2027. This is reported by Carscoops.
Range Rover Sport Electric accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds
The two electric motors of the Range Rover Sport Electric produce a combined 542 hp and 850 Nm. With the Dynamic Launch Control system activated, the crossover accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds - the same as the Range Rover Sport version with a supercharged V8.
The range reaches 600 km. The 800-volt electric architecture supports DC fast charging at up to 350 kW. The battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in 22 minutes, and in 10 minutes it can add 220 km of range.
The electric Range Rover Sport retains its off-road capabilities
The model features Intelligent Traction Management, Dynamic Air Suspension, Active Roll Control and an all-wheel steering chassis. The Range Rover Sport Electric is capable of fording water up to 900 mm deep and climbing gradients of 45 degrees.
The body of the electric vehicle is 61% stiffer compared to the current Range Rover Sport PHEV, and the center of gravity is located 73 mm lower. Externally, the new model is distinguished from the ICE versions by an aerodynamically optimized grille and original wheels.
"The Range Rover Sport is the most dynamic embodiment of Range Rover. With the Range Rover Sport Electric, we are carrying this character into the electric era," said Range Rover Managing Director Martin Limpert.
The new model will be offered in Dynamic HSE and Autobiography trims. Deliveries in certain markets are scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2027.
