From January to August 2026, the Ukrainian car fleet was joined by 22.2 thousand passenger electric vehicles. Of these, 3.7 thousand were new, and 18.5 thousand were used. Each segment formed its own top five. This is reported by Ukravtoprom.

Top 5 new electric vehicles in Ukraine in 2026

Among new electric vehicles by number of registrations in January-August, the BYD Sea Lion 06 EV leads. The top five also includes another BYD model, two ZEEKR electric vehicles, and the Volkswagen ID.UNYX.

  1. BYD Sea Lion 06 EV - 534 vehicles.

  2. BYD Leopard 3 - 493 vehicles.

  3. ZEEKR 001 - 311 vehicles.

  4. Volkswagen ID.UNYX - 271 vehicles.

  5. ZEEKR 7X - 244 vehicles.

The BYD Sea Lion 06 EV beat the BYD Leopard 3 by 41 registrations. In total, the five models from the ranking accounted for 1,853 new electric vehicles.

Top 5 used electric vehicles in Ukraine in 2026

On the secondary market, the Tesla Model Y and Nissan Leaf were in greatest demand. The difference between the two most popular models was only 42 vehicles.

  1. Tesla Model Y - 2,471 vehicles.

  2. Nissan Leaf - 2,429 vehicles.

  3. Tesla Model 3 - 2,291 vehicles.

  4. Chevrolet Bolt - 1,021 vehicles.

  5. Kia Niro EV - 831 vehicles.

Used electric vehicles accounted for the main part of the addition to the Ukrainian fleet - 18.5 thousand out of the total 22.2 thousand vehicles in the first eight months of 2026.
