It was the new Skoda Enyaq iV that became the popemobile during the pontiff's visit to Slovakia. Two more Skoda Kodiaq crossovers were also allocated to accompany Francis.
The Pope travels around Bratislava in the electric car and will go to a meeting with Slovak President Zuzana Čaputová. The papal motorcade will also visit Košice and Šaštín-Stráže.
The Skoda Enyaq iV popemobile is painted in a strict black color, and the interior trim is the same color. In addition, flag holders have appeared. And traditionally, the car was fitted with SCV plates (Status Civitatis Vaticanae – 'Vatican City-State').
It is noteworthy that this is not the Pope's first electric vehicle. Earlier, the head of the Catholic Church was given a Toyota Mirai with hydrogen fuel cells.
