As noted at Dacia, Jogger (that is, a runner) is a simple, easy-to-remember and modern name. In the press release, the company also noted that the upcoming car will be available in two configurations – with a 5- and 7-seat interior; it will become an ideal partner for the family. Probably, we are talking about the ideological successor of the Logan MCV station wagon, which was produced in Romania in 2006-2012.

Several points indicate that this will not be an ordinary MCV, but a crossover wagon. First, the name contains the suffix “er” – by analogy with the popular Duster. Second, in the only published teaser image, you can see that the car has a high body, as well as roof rails – characteristic features of all SUV models.

The Dacia Logger will be built on the basis of the Logan sedan and the third-generation Sandero hatchback, which debuted last autumn.

In Ukraine, by the way, the second generation of Logan and Sandero is still on sale. Whether the new Logger will appear under the parent brand Renault is still unknown.

The new product will debut on September 3.
