The ORA Ballet Cat is the production version of the Punk Cat concept car shown earlier this year. The design, however, has been slightly adjusted, as the too-pronounced resemblance to the Beetle caused dissatisfaction at Volkswagen. The optics, door handles, and a number of other details have been changed.
The interior trim is decorated with patterns, because the Chinese electric car is primarily aimed at a female audience. Inside, there are also retro-style elements, although modern virtual instrumentation and a touchscreen are installed.
Interestingly, the characteristics of the ORA Ballet Cat were not announced at the presentation. It is known that the electric car will get one motor, and its range will be about 400-500 km. More details will become known closer to the start of sales in early 2022.
By the way, this is already the second production retro model from Great Wall at the Chengdu auto show. A hybrid crossover in the style of the Pobeda was also shown there.
