For now, the van remains a prototype and is called ID. Buzz. Nevertheless, the photo appears to show a pre-production sample. That is, in this form the car will go to the assembly line – only with minor changes.

Interestingly, the ID.Buzz Volkswagen is disguised as a Transporter of the T6/T6.1 generation, but in terms of design, the new model is close to the recently presented Multivan T7 – the greatest similarity is observed in the front part, where both models have almost identical glazing. In addition, the ID.Buzz styling echoes the styling of other ID family models – the ID.3 hatchback and the ID4 crossover. In particular, all three cars share the same interior design (similar steering wheel, digital instrument cluster, multimedia screen).

The fact that Volkswagen is preparing an electric alternative to the Transporter is no longer news: back in 2017, the Germans presented a concept of the same name with quite impressive characteristics: two motors with a total power of almost 370 hp, a battery capacity of 111 kWh (more than top-end Teslas!), and a range of 550-600 km. It is possible that the production car will inherit these same figures, especially since it is based on the same MEB chassis – a modular platform that VW created specifically for electric vehicles.

Note that Volkswagen does not yet sell ID family electric vehicles in Ukraine. Nevertheless, unofficial dealers are already importing such cars and, according to AvtoPortal, at least three Volkswagen ID.3 hatchbacks are already driving on our roads.
