Actually, this is not so much a classic crossover as a raised hatchback. It is built on the basis of the regular five-door Space Star – the smallest model of the Japanese brand for the Old World market.

The Space Star Cross is 3.85 m long, its main difference is increased ground clearance, black trim of some body elements (around the fenders, sills, part of the hood, tailgate and mirror housings), different wheels on 15-inch rims, and "Cross" inscriptions. That's actually all. Unlike other models of this class, the Japanese did not bother with special bumpers, a full crossover body kit, or even roof rails. There is also no all-wheel drive, so you will have to settle for only one driven axle.

Under the hood of the car is a 1.2-liter gasoline engine with 80 hp, it works in tandem with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The car's equipment includes front and side airbags, curtain airbags, cruise control and a multimedia system.

So far, the new product is available only in Portugal. There, the price of the Space Star Cross is 12,850 euros (just under 15,300 dollars).
