The photos show the Kia Sportage of the 2022 model year. Its exterior is dominated by chiseled, sharp lines. The rather unusual design of the front end is also noticeable. This car has previously been caught by cameras during tests, as we wrote about in our article.
The interior of the new Sportage has not gone unnoticed either. The key feature of the interior is a large curved screen that combines the virtual instrument cluster and the infotainment system.
It is known that the new generation of the Kia crossover shares the platform with the Hyundai Tucson 2021, so a similar range of powertrains can be expected. It will likely include 1.6-liter turbocharged gasoline engines with 150 and 180 horsepower, a 136-horsepower turbodiesel of the same displacement, as well as a hybrid powertrain with 230 horsepower.
In the future, the appearance of a plug-in hybrid is not ruled out. For a number of markets, including the Ukrainian one, a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter gasoline engine producing 155 horsepower may also be offered.
