The new SSC Tuatara Striker received a different aerodynamic body kit compared to the base version. The engineers focused not on record speed, but on cornering behavior. Thanks to new body elements, a diffuser, and an active spoiler, downforce reaches 500 kg when driving at a speed of 250 km/h.
The vast majority of such cars will get a regular 5.9-liter twin-turbo V8 engine producing 1,750 horsepower. But ten units will be assembled in the Agressor version with an output of 2,200 hp, making them the most powerful production cars on the planet. True, they are not intended for driving on public roads — they can only be used on race tracks.
Recall that SSC Tuatara currently holds the title of the fastest production car. The officially recorded speed record is 455.2 km/h.
